Fiji Bank & Finance Sector Employees Union has a proud, respected and vibrant history.
We are seeking to recruit an Industrial Relations (IR) Assistant to join our organization to be based in Suva. The position reports directly to the Executive Council of the Union and to the National Secretary for day-to-day duties. He/she will be responsible for providing administrative and Industrial Relation support to the National Secretary.
This is an on-job training position.
Key areas of assistance will be: –
- Diary Entries and Personal assistant role
- Taking notes during IR meetings and preparing draft minutes
- Preparing IR Reports for Executive Council meetings
- Carry out research on Union related matters
- Assist with organizing and training programs
- Update of IR database and Collective Agreements
Skills
- Excellent listening, writing and numerical skills
- Planning and organizing
- Presentation
- Research
- Be able to use MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
The person we are looking for must:
- Have Empathy for working class struggles
- Be a team player who enjoys multi-tasking,
- Be able to work under pressure and be able to meet outputs with minimal supervision
- Be loyal to the job and core Trade Union Values
- Always be Respectful to all staff and with all we do business with
- Have a Driving License with 2-3 years driving experience.
- Have a Clean Police record
