Vishwa Deo
YOUR NATIONAL SECRETARY
We are pleased to introduce our new Secretariat staff team member Vishwa Deo who has been appointed to the position of National Secretary.
Vishwa brings with him experience having served in the Public Service in Fiji for 33 years. He has knowledge of Trade Union activities having served in Fiji Public Service Association for 32 years on various leadership positions. He has held positions of Branch Executive, Branch Secretary, Branch President and National Vice President (Principal Office Bearer) during his tenure with the Fiji Public Service Association.
During his service with FPSA Vishwa has assisted in negotiating Collective Agreements, attended Mediation, Tribunal and High Court and has knowledge of Labour Laws, and Employment Relations Act.
Vishwa is a graduate of Bachelor of Commerce – Human Resource Management & Management and Employment Relations & Public Admin from the University Of the South Pacific
We welcome Vishwa on board and you all will get to meet him during branch and onsite member meetings.
Usha Mangal
Finance Administrative Officer
For over 34 years, Usha has been the steady hand behind our
financial and administrative operations. Through seasons of change,
she has kept our accounts balanced and our processes accountable.
But her true gift lies beyond the numbers – offering guidance,
wisdom, and unwavering support to our members, executive
councils, and National Secretaries alike. Usha is, simply put, the
heart of our union’s operations.

Maraia Rokoiga
Assistant Administrative Officer
Maraia became part of our union family in 2023, quickly becoming
indispensable with her strong administrative skills and warm
approach. From managing member records to assisting with claims
and supporting the team, Maraia brings both efficiency and heart
to everything she does – always with a smile.
Penina Vesilevu
General Hand
Affectionately known as ‘Penina’, Venina has been the quiet
backbone of our office since 2005. Whether it’s keeping our space
clean, preparing a comforting cup of tea, or ensuring daily tasks
run smoothly, she brings care and dedication to every corner of
the union. She’s the kind of presence you might not always see –
but always feel.
Grace Nayacalevu
Administration Support (Contracted)
Grace joined us this year on a short-term contract and has quickly
proven herself a valuable part of the team. With diligence and care,
she supports both the union and credit union through vital data
work and admin tasks. Her contributions have already made a
positive impact – and we’re glad to have her with us.
